And it's done!

Here is my entry in this months Draw-Along

The lovely reference is from *Senju-HiMe

I've never done an image with this much colour work before, so much fun

The grapes are evil though, beware of the grapes!

I am not used to coloured pencils and I have a lot to learn, just so you know!

I've ordered some Faber Castell Polychromos so be ready for a new coloured work in the maybe-not-so distant future!

Thanks to Paula aka =pbird12 for tips along the way and also all the other lovely people who commented on my WIP's!

Size: A4 that is cut a bit on the sides.
Tools: coloured pencils and q-tips + patience
Time:...yes it took time...A whole lot of spending time

First of all:

I personally like it very much. Like the idea, cos it's fresh and not so boring

Like the technique, the girl is as alive

plus so is the grape

I can see the volume of each berry. And those patches of light... they are so natural

I love the colours especially light green

and her red hair
The composition is interesting too

thank you for such amazing art, dear! In my opinion it's very realistic

I enjoyed it

And finally my last word is: Beautiful!

I am not that experienced in colour-pencil. It is my least favourite medium really, that's only because I am not really good in blending colours together and making it appear smooth. You however seem to have it down. This is a really nice composition. I see you changed the lipstick and I like the colour you made yours because it makes the piece flow more and the lips pop from the grapes (since they are complementary colours). Only suggestion I'll give is maybe go a little bit darker between the grapes on the left side. Other than that, it seems very realistic and a really awesome piece. I enjoy it a lot.
